- Ce double CD retrace la carrière du réalisateur à travers les meilleurs extraits de ses BO, depuis Manhattan (1979) jusqu'à Magic In the Moonlight (2014), en passant par La rose pourpre du Caire ou Match Point. Cette quinzaine de films offre une palette musicale exceptionnelle. Aussi, bien plus qu'une compilation, ce collector constitue un vademecum musical de l'honnête homme contemporain. De Verdi à Philip Glass, des ténors du jazz américain à ceux des rythmes latinos, il reflète ce cosmopolitisme que le cinéma n'a cessé d'exalter. Billie Holiday y répond à Caruso, Fred Astaire à Joséphine Baker, Gerswhin à Armstrong et Giulia y los Tellarini à Carmen Miranda. De Manhattan à Barcelone, en passant par Londres et Paris, un merveilleux cheek to cheek musical, une Rhapsodie in Blue pour le monde.
