    • The appearance of The Vicar’s Garden and Other Stories in 2009, edited by N.H. Reeve, concluded the publication of Lawrence’s short fiction in the Cambridge edition with a volume of early and draft versions of a number of stories. Drawing on this new text, I will argue that the depiction of sexuality and desire in early Lawrence was much more heterogeneous than has usually been acknowledged.
