A la croisée des 70's et des 80's, Dylan proposa trois albums "Slow Train Coming" (1979), "Saved" (1980) et "Shot of Love"(1981), remplis de chansons de vénération et de dévotion. Ces chansons sont parmi les plus personnelles d'un Dylan animé d'une nouvelle foi. La Deluxe Version contient entre autres un nouveau film avec des performances inédites de ses concerts du début des années 1980, parmi les plus intenses de toute sa carrière.
