A monograph on Iván Navarro’s public workand site-specific installations. Iván Navarro (b. 1972) uses light as his raw material,turning objects into electric sculptures andtransforming the exhibition space by means of visualinterplay. This unprecedented monograph, born froma collaboration between Skira and Galerie Templon,focuses on political and social critique, a major subjectin Navarro’s work, and aims to show the essential roleplayed by both the public space and visitors in the perceptionof these artworks.• Richly illustrated, the book includes three originaltexts, including a conversation between Iván Navarro’s and fellow-Chilean artistAlfredo Jaar as well as with world-acclaimed architect Dominique Perrault.José-Manuel Gonçalvès is director of Centquatre-Paris and co-director of GrandParis Express’ artistic/cultural projects.
