- The Spirit of Memphis (1962-1976) survole l'ensemble de la carrière de l'un des artistes les plus influent de la scène soul américaine. Ce beau coffret 4CD explore les différentes facettes de cet artiste prolifique ; le premier disque s'attardant sur ses premières contributions au sein de Stax en tant que compositeur et producteur, le second sur sa carrière comme artiste solo, le troisième sur son art de sublimer les reprises, le dernier sur l'instrumentiste et musicien de studio au travers de jams session, pour certaines légendaires. En plus des nombreux inédits, ce coffret au format 7 inch est accompagné d'un replica de son premier 45 tour commercialisé, ainsi que d'un livret de 60 pages remplis de photos d'archives rares, de nouveaux essais et interviews.
