Résumé : L'artiste libanais Walid Raad est une voix influente de l'art du Moyen Orient. Publié pour sa première exposition rétrospective aux Etats-Unis, ce catalogue étudie trois décennies de la pratique de Raad en photographie, vidéo et performance. Du projet révolutionnaire de The Atlas Group (1989-2004), jusqu'à son oeuvre récente sur l'histoire de l'art dans le monde arabe (débutée en 2007), il offre un panorama de la carrière de Raad et présente ses oeuvres les plus importantes. Raad explore les manières dont nous représentons la guerre et l'histoire, jetant le doute sur la véracité des documents photographiques et vidéos.
