Résumé : Patti Smith et Robert Mapplethorpe ont vingt ans quand ils se rencontrent, par hasard, dans le New York de la fin des années 60. Just kids, roman d'initiation, retrace l'envolée de ces enfants terribles, de 1967 à 1975, de leur rencontre jusqu'au moment où Patti Smith enregistre son premier album, Horses, qui lance sa carrière de chanteuse. La mort prématurée du grand photographe, en 1989, ouvre et clôt le récit tout en pudeur et en émotion . Cette histoire d'amour et d'amitié, épopée mythique, est le cliché incandescent de cette période qui marque un tournant dans leur vie. J'avais vingt ans quand je suis montée dans le bus. Je portais ma salopette, un col roulé noir, et le vieil imper gris que j'avais acheté à Camden. Ma petite valise écossaise rouge et jaune contenait quelques crayons de couleur, un carnet, les Illuminations, quelques fringues, et des photos de mon frère et de mes soeurs. J'étais superstitieuse. Isabelle Huppert compte parmi les plus grandes actrices françaises, à la carrière internationale, et l'une des plus récompensées. Depuis sa première apparition au cinéma dans Faustine et le bel été, de Nina Companeez en 1972, en passant par La dentellière de Claude Goretta en 1977 et Violette Nozière, de Claude Chabrol qui lui vaut son premier prix d'interprétation à Cannes en 1978, elle n'a cessé de marquer le cinéma et le théâtre d'une empreinte singulière et exigeante, révélant au fil de ses très nombreux rôles son goût pour les personnages complexes. Elle a notamment reçu un Golden Globe en 2017 pour son rôle dans Elle de Paul Verhoeven, prestigieux prix qui a renforcé son rayonnement international.
